BPA and the South West Regional Ports Association (SWRPA) will jointly host a reception in Plymouth on the morning of 25 September to showcase the economic contribution made by ports in the South West region.
We have invited representatives from all South West BPA/SWRPA member ports as well as Ministers, senior government and industry contacts.
We also hope to have senior representatives from the region’s Local Enterprise Partnerships present. Although ports operate independently and are commercially self supporting, they are also very much affected by decisions by a range of regional and national organisations, especially LEPs and Councils which play critical roles in investment in the transport network on which ports rely.
The reception will bring together the individuals and organisations which make up that network, as well as take the opportunity to launch a new brochure about the region, its ports, and their future aims.
