The design of Aberdeen Harbour’s £350 million South Harbour expansion incorporates an adaptable ducting system, which will support the infrastructure for electric shore-supplied power, or host power cables from offshore. With these ducting systems already in place, the Harbour can adopt these forms of power as the transfer technology evolves, without having to reconfigure the extensive quayside area.
