Lymington’s Climate Change Commitments

Climate Change Commitment and Policy
In recognition of the climate change emergency, Lymington Harbour Commissioners have committed to take action to:
– Halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030.
– Achieve net zero emissions before 2050.
– Report our progress on an annual basis.

Early actions have included:
– Changing all electricity contracts to be from 100% renewable sources.
– Converting a workboat to electric power.
– Installing solar panels on the Harbour Office building.
– Participating in salary sacrifice schemes for electric vehicles (EV) and bicycles to encourage a greener commute to work and installation of EV charging points for staff use
