Venue:Microsoft Teams Link
We are holding another PMSC Duty Holder Awareness webinar on Monday the 23 of September 2024 10:30 – 12:30 which is hosted on Microsoft Teams.
The PMSC is the UK government’s guidelines on how ports assess and manage marine safety risks in port areas and it now applies to non-statutory terminals, marine facilities and marinas, as well as port and harbour authorities. The Maritime & Coastguard Agency oversee its adoption compliance around the UK.
The virtual training webinar is an opportunity for Duty Holders such as board members to familiarise themselves with the principles of the Port Marine Safety Code and its Guide to Good Practice. The awareness training will provide attendees with an overview of the Code and its guiding principles, including legislative duties and powers, key organisations appointments such as the Designated Person, and the expectation that Duty Holders will publish a safety plan for marine operations.
This is a free event for British Ports Association members, however for non members this webinar is £30.00 (+VAT). An invoice shall be sent post webinar.
The session is delivered by ABPmer’s Monty Smedley who has a wealth of knowledge on the PMSC. If you are interested in this session, please click on the link below to register:
