Cyber security is an increasing management priority for many businesses and organisations and this session is aimed primarily at senior port managers or those involved in compliance, legal and governance issues within the organisation. It is not a ‘technical’ seminar and is suitable for ports of all sizes.
A programme will be sent out before the end of the year, but the Department for Transport and the National Cyber Security Centre will be there to provide an update and answer questions on what Government is doing and what Government expects from ports. We will strive to make the day interactive where possible. The programme is likely to include:
- Current Government guidance including the cyber code of practice for ports
- An overview of the Government’s assessment of the current threat picture to the industry
- Likely/common scenarios ports may face and how to respond to an incident
- Related legislation and regulation including the Directive on security of network and information systems (the NIS Directive) and the General Data Protection Regulation
This event is free for BPA members.
