Please see below note from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) on the Wuhan Coronavirus dated 24 January 2020.

“DHSC is working closely with PHE and NHS England to monitor Wuhan Coronavirus. We are setting up a rolling stakeholder brief to keep you informed of developments and to provide you with a channel for any queries you may have. The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock addressed the House of Commons on the situation today – you can view this oral statement here. The accompanying text to the statement is here.

The UK is well prepared for these types of outbreaks and the risk to the UK public is low. See further details in DHSC’s joint statement with PHE here.

I would kindly ask that if at any point your organisation is planning to issue a statement on this subject that you share it with me (Louise.Thomas@dhsc.gov.uk).”
