Partners Programme

The British Ports Association Conference 2019 will be hosted by Belfast Harbour from 15-18 October 2019 at Titanic Belfast. This year’s partner programme will allow guests to visit the spectacular Antrim Coast and Giant’s Causeway; and the Titanic Belfast Museum.

Please note that depending on weather we may need to change the trips around but you will be advised in advance.

Antrim Coast & Giant’s Causeway

Your tour begins as you board your motorcoach for a panoramic drive to the Giant’s Causeway, an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns. En route, you will drive along the Antrim Coast, one of the loveliest coastlines in Northern Europe.

You will take in both the shore with its tiny fishing villages and small resorts, and the countryside, with sweeping views of farmlands, villages, and rolling moors.
Enjoy tea/coffee and scones in a local establishment along the route.

Drive on to a local hotel where lunch will be served. After savoring delicious Irish fare, you will travel to Dunluce Castle, one of Ireland’s most romantic and breath taking castles perched on the rocky Antrim coast, where you may snap a photo or two.

Your ultimate destination, Giant’s Causeway, is next on your itinerary. Renowned for its polygonal columns of layered basalt, the Causeway is considered the Eighth Wonder of the World, and is the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland.

Upon arrival, you will visit the newly constructed Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre. This interpretative centre allows you to decide for yourself which explanation of how the causeway’s 40,000 basalt stones were formed is most likely (or simply most interesting!) stories about the area’s rich mythology, history, geology, flora and fauna will paint the Causeway in your mind’s eye before you make your way to the stones themselves.

Your tour concludes with a relaxing return drive to the pier. With the Antrim Coast and Giant’s Causeway behind you.

Titanic Belfast Tour

You will visit the birthplace of the Titanic.

The tale of the ill-fated Titanic unfolds at the former shipyard of Harland and Wolff, which has been converted into a striking, ultra-modern exhibit space for Titanic Belfast. Your visit will take a fascinating look into the construction and launch of the “unsinkable” ship and the history of the city that proudly built her.

Step inside the state-of-the art building and explore the nine galleries on six floors. You’ll have the opportunity to experience the superb craftsmanship of Titanic’s interiors and the drama of its last moments at sea.
