Fraserburgh Harbour Commissioners have joined the fight against plastics, supporting the Cairnbulg beach clean up for the past five years.

Fraserburgh Harbour Commissioners have joined the fight against plastics, supporting the Cairnbulg beach clean up for the past five years.

This is part of the East Grampian Coastal Partnership’s Turning the Plastic Tide project. In 2019 the Cairnbulg beach clean was undertaken by employees from Premier Oil and arranged by the East Grampian Coastal Partnership.

The Commissioners assisted by providing a driver and telehandler to help in the removal of collected waste which included three tonnes of recyclable material. The telehandler was part-funded by the European Union’s European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and the Scottish Government.
