The British Ports Association exists to speak for UK ports.
BPA members are located throughout the United Kingdom, and are from all levels of the port industry. This allows the Association to consult with a wide range of interests, and to set an agenda for the ports industry with clear policy targets.

BPA response to the Draft Marine Bill consultation
The Association has submitted its response to Defra’s consultation on the Draft Marine Bill. In summary the response highlighted that:
- We continue to support the main proposals and basic principles of the draft Bill
- Although the Bill is strong on process, many questions remain about implementation, the precise effect on the planning system and the level of resources available
- The draft Bill’s principles should be adopted throughout the UK, respecting national differences and varying pressures
The full response can be found here
