Solent Stevedores are a multi award winning stevedoring and cargo handling business. Employing c300 direct staff in 3 countries, the business operates across Cruise, Container, Bulk, Rail, RORO and LOLO sectors at 5 sites in the UK. In Southampton the business handles baggage and stores for over 450 cruise calls annually, operates a multi product bulk terminal handling over 1.2 million tonnes and has a container storage and repair depot that encompasses a rail terminal with 7 daily services linking the port with the UK network. In addition, the business handles raw sugar imports for Tate and Lyle at Silvertown, operates a Cementitious import terminal at the port of Immingham and has a licence to operate Stevedoring services in St Helier for the Port of Jersey. The container operations also extend to a 9 acre empty storage and repair site at London Gateway.
