The Thames Litter Forum’s #CleanerThames campaign is led by the Port of London Authority (PLA).

Working with partners, such as the charity Thames21, the PLA supports regular volunteer clean-ups along the tidal Thames.

Other initiatives include:

  • A partnership with the charity Hubbub and Wandsworth Council to promote the For Fishes Sake anti-litter campaign.
  • An internal campaign to eliminate-single use plastics in the organisation and raise staff awareness of environmentally- friendly alternatives.
  • The development with London Gateway of a new passive driftwood collector, purpose built to be effective extracting litter from the lower reaches of the River Thames.
