Salcombe's Eco-Moorings

Environmentally friendly moorings, or eco moorings, are mooring systems designed to have less impact on the sea bed than conventional swing moorings. They aim to minimise interaction with the seabed to prevent abrasion and therefore the potential to damage sensitive habitats. Salcombe Harbour is a welcoming safe haven and eco-port set in one of the South West’s most beautiful locations. In recent years the harbour has approved trials of a modified swing mooring with additional floats to help minimise or stop scour and protect the seabed.

Forth Ports' Energy Management

Forth Ports have achieved certification for the ISO 50001 Energy Management Standard, a global benchmark for organisations looking to conserve energy. Using energy efficiently helps organisations conserve resources and tackle climate change. ISO 50001 supports organisations to use energy more efficiently, through the development of an energy management system.
