Environmental Contacts meeting - 20 June 2008

The Port of Cork hosted the recent Environmental Contacts meeting on 20 June, which was jointly organised with the Irish Ports Association.

At the meeting there were presentations on EcoPorts, energy saving, reducing emissions and techniques such as cold ironing. The presentations will available to BPA members only, in due course.

New BPA Chairman - Stephen Bracewell

Stephen Bracewell, the Chief Executive of Harwich Haven Authority, has become the BPA’s new Chairman.

Mr Bracewell had previously been the BPA’s Vice Chair and replaces Ted Sangster, who has completed his two year term as Chairman.

The newly elected Vice Chair is Andy Brigden, Head of Maritime Services and Harbour Master at Carrick District Council.
